in conjunction with the Clerk of said Court the accuracy of
said indexes when made; and to do all things that may be
necessary and proper in the premises; and
WHEREAS, In pursuance of said Act, a committee was duly
appointed as thereby authorized, and said committee selected
a system of land and judgment indexes, and has contracted
for the making thereof; and
WHEREAS, The new index of the Judgment Records of said
Court have been completed, and some work has been done
towards the reindexing of the Land Records of said Court;
and
WHEREAS, It is deemed necessary to provide new general
indexes to the Equity Records of said Court; and
WHEREAS, The sum of three thousand dollars ($3, 000) ap-
propriated under the said Act of 1924 is insufficient to com-
plete the work contemplated to be done thereunder, and under
this Act. Therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the said committee, so as aforesaid appointed
under the aforesaid Act of 1924, are hereby authorized to con-
tract for the finishing of the indexes to the Land Records of
Harford County, and to further contract for the making of the
indexes to said Equity Records of said County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the total cost of the
necessary books, and the making and verification of said Land
and Equity Indexes, shall not exceed the sum of four thousand
dollars ($4, 000) in excess of the amount provided by the afore-
said Act of 1924; and that the said sum of four thousand
dollars ($4, 000) shall be furnished in the same manner as
provided in said Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1924.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1st, 1927.
