CHAPTER 617.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter 114
of the Acts of 1914, entitled "An Act to authorize the Com-
missioners of St. Mary's County to pay the board of indigent
patients in St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, Md., " in-
creasing the payments which may be made.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 114 of the Acts of 1914, entitled "An Act
to authorize the Commissioners of St. Mary's County to pay the
board of indigent patients in St. Mary's Hospital, Leonard-
town, Md. ", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments to read as follows:
The Commissioners of St. Mary's County, Maryland, are
hereby authorized and directed to levy and pay to St. Mary's
Hospital, Leonardtown, Maryland, a sum of not more than
one dollar and fifty ($1. 50) per day for each and every
indigent or free patient placed in said Hospital by the County
Commissioners or their Clerk by their authority.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1927.

CHAPTER 618.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Montgomery County to require the removal of obstruc-
tions to clear vision at highway intersections in said County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
require the owner or owners of any property located at a corner
of any highway or street intersection, or intersection of a side
street or sideroad with a county or State highway in said
County, to remove therefrom all trees, bushes, vines, fences or
other obstructions which in any way obstruct the vision of the
operators of vehicles as they reach such intersections. Any
owner of property failing to remove such obstructions within
two months after notice to remove same has been given him by
