or curbed, shall become liable for a pro rata part thereof ac-
cording to the frontage of said property thereon; and said
County Commissioners shall then prepare a statement show-
ing the amount of assessment upon each of the aforesaid lots
of ground.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That after the County
Commissioners shall have completed its apportionment of the
costs and expenses to be assessed as aforesaid, and the state-
ment thereof, it shall give notice by advertisement once a week
for two successive weeks in a newspaper published in Balti-
more County, that such apportionment has been made, and that
the statement thereof is on file in the office of the County
Commissioners for the inspection of all persons interested
therein, and that it will attend at its said office on a day in
such notice to be named, which shall not be less than ten (10),
nor more than twenty (20) days from the first publication of
such notice, to review any of the matters set forth in such
statement, to which any persons claiming to be interested
therein, shall on or before the day so appointed, make objec-
tion, and the said County Commissioners shall attend at the
time and place so appointed, and consider all such representa-
tions and testimony, verbal or in writing, in relation to any
matter in such statement which shall be offered on behalf of
any person claiming to be interested therein, and shall make
all such corrections and alterations in the said apportionment
and statement as shall be necessary to make the same correct
and just, and it may adjourn from time to time if necessary,
to give all persons claiming a review, an opportunity to be
heard, and after closing such review, it shall make all such
corrections as may be proper and shall make a correct list of
the property and of the owners, or reputed owners thereof lia-
ble to pay the assessments in the matter aforesaid, and the
amount for which each piece of property, or the owner thereof
shall be liable, and to cause said statement to be certified under
the hands and seals of said County Commissioners of Balti-
more County, and its Chief Clerk, and shall notify persons
interested by an advertisement to be inserted once a week for
two successive weeks in a newspaper published in Baltimore
County, that the said assessments have been completed and
that the persons affected thereby are entitled to appeal there-
from by a petition in writing to the Circuit Court for Balti-
more County within thirty (30) days after the first publica-
tion of said notice; and on trial in the Circuit Court for
