CHAPTER 592.
AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and de-
vises contained in the last wills and testaments of certain
persons, deceased, and also to certain gifts, grants, sales,
leases and deeds made by various persons to and for the use
and benefit of sundry ministerial persons, religious corpora-
tions, vestries, educational and charitable institutions,
churches, denominations or sects hereinafter named.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sanction and consent of said General As-
sembly of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given
and granted to the following gifts, bequests, devises, grants,
sales, leases, conveyances and deeds, to and from certain per-
sons and bodies corporate to and for the use of certain minis-
terial persons, religious and educational corporations, orders,
denominations and sects, and to certain charitable institu-
tions hereinafter named and as herein set forth:
To the gift of Jessie C. Johnson to the Trustees, of the
Govans Methodist Episcopal Church, of Govans, Baltimore
County, Maryland, of 50 shares preferred stock of the City
Service Company preferred B, par value $100. 00 a share, and
. 50 shares of the 8% cumulative preferred stock of the Empire
Gas and Fuel Co., par value $100. 00 a share.
To the conveyance by deed of a fee simple lot of ground in
Baltimore City from Theodosia R. Pendleton, to the Trustees
of the Govans Methodist Episcopal Church, a, religious cor-
poration, of Govans, Baltimore County, Maryland, and re-
corded among the Land Records of Baltimore City in Liber
S. C. L. 4205, folio 354, and dated May 31, 1924.

CHAPTER 593.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 31
of Article 5 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924),
title "Appeals and Errors, " sub-title "Appeals from Courts
of Equity, " providing for an appeal to the Court of Ap-
peals of Maryland in certain matters arising in equity.
