visions of this Act, be, and the same are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict or inconsistency with the provisions
of this Act.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted that this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public safety, and being passed
upon by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all
the members elected to each of the two Houses of the Gen-
eral Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 574.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 39 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Fish and Fish-
eries, " said section to follow Section 9, and to be known as
Section 9-A, providing regulations for taking of fish in
spawning season, in certain waters of Baltimore County, and
providing penalties for violation thereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be added to Article 39 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Fish and Fisheries",
said section to follow Section 9, and to be known as Section
9-A, providing regulations for taking of fish in spawning season,
in certain waters of Baltimore County, and providing for viola-
tion thereof.
SEC. 9-A. It shall be unlawful to fish in any manner in the
waters of Bird River, Dundee Greek, Saltpeter Creek, Seneca
Creek, Middle River, Back River or any of their tributaries,
or in that part of Chesapeake Bay between Miller's Island and
Spry Island, or in the waters of Chesapeake Bay in Baltimore
County, within a radius of one-half a mile of the entrance of
said rivers, creeks or coves into the Chesapeake Bay, between
the first day of March and the fifteenth, day of June, in each
year, and at all other times with sunken hoop nets or pot nets,
or with any haul seine which in any manner is made with a
pocket.
Any person violating the above provisions shall forfeit the
seine or nets attached as aforesaid and the boats and materials
