provided, shall be punishable before any justice of the peace,
or the Circuit Court of Garrett County, and shall be brought
by warrant or indictment upon the oath or information of any
member of the Mayor and Town Council or any employee there-
of, and the offender shall, upon conviction, be subject to a
fine not exceeding one hundred dollars or 30 days in the county
jail, or both, in the discretion of the court. Where such an
act or omission is of a continuing nature, and is persisted in,
in violation of the provisions of this Act, or any rule or regu-
lation formulated thereunder, a conviction for one offense shall *
not be a bar to a conviction for a continuation of such offense
subsequent to the first or any succeeding conviction.

SEC. 17. And be it further enacted, That all acts and parts
of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be and the
same are hereby repealed to the extent of their inconsistency,
provided that nothing herein contained shall be taken as af-
fecting Chapter 810 of the Acts of the Maryland Legislature
of 1914, nor as restricting any control which the State Board
of Health of Maryland is empowered to exercise within the
corporate limits of the said town.

SEC. 18. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the preser-
vation of the public health and safety, and being passed upon
a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the

same shall take effect on the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 382.

AN ACT to repeal Section 116G of Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title, "Prince George's
County" sub-title "County Treasurer" as repealed and
re-enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland. Acts of
1902, Chapter 469 and Acts of 1922, Chapter 198 and to
re-enact the same, with amendments, relating to properties
sold to, and forfeited to said County on account of de-
faulted State and County taxes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 116G of Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's County, " sub-
title "County Treasurer" as repealed and re-enacted by the
