all bids; the said bonds shall be exempt from State, county and
municipal taxes; and the said County Commissioners shall keep
a record of said bonds in a registry of bonds, giving the number
and date of such bonds and the name or names of the purchasers
and the amount realized; the said County Commissioners shall
advertise said bonds such reasonable length of time as they deem
adequate to the public and shall offer said bonds to the public
as the Board of Education for Calvert County shall prescribe in
such instalments and amounts as the said Board of Education
may deem advantageous to the public in carrying on the work
for which the same are issued; and the money arising from the
sale of said bonds shall be paid over to the Board of Education
for Calvert County, to be used by it for building and equipping
a new public high and elementary school in Solomons or vicin-
ity in the said Calvert County, and for building and equipping
a public elementary school in Prince Frederick and other parts
of the first, second and third districts of Calvert County, and
for that purpose the said Board of Education is clothed with
full authority to contract for, supervise, direct and control such
work, in such manner as in its discretion it may deem to the
best public interest; and full power is given to it to employ and
pay from said fund all architects, builders or other persons,
supervisors or agents as may in the judgment of said Board
of Education seem advisable.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the said interest
coupons and the said principal of said bonds shall be payable
at the office of the County Commissioners of Calvert County,
and whenever any of such coupon or coupons, bond or bonds
shall be paid or redeemed, it or they shall be cancelled or de-
stroyed by the said County Commissioners of Calvert County
and a note made thereof on the record of said bond.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the purchase of
furniture or other equipment or supplies necessary or proper for
the use of said public schools shall be considered and construed
and is hereby declared to be included within the powers of the
said Board of Education, and to be embraced within the words
"building and equipment. "

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.
