CHAPTER 359.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, title "Crimes and Punishments, " to be
known as Section 422-A and to follow Section 422 of the said
Article, sub-title "Rape, " so as to fix the jurisdiction over
the said offenses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section to be known as Section 422-A be and
the same is hereby added to Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, title "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-title "Rape, "
to follow Section 422 of said sub-title and to be known as Section

422-A and to read as follows: —

422-A. Wherever any female shall be transported by any
means, with the intent to violate any of the foregoing three sec-
tions and the said intent shall be followed by actual violation of
any of the said sections, the Circuit Court of any County or
the Criminal Court of Baltimore City shall have full and abso-
lute jurisdiction to try all offenses committed in violation of this
sub-title, when such transportation or any part thereof shall be
offered, solicited, begun, continued or ended in such County or
the City of Baltimore.

CHAPTER 360.

AN ACT to authorize and empower and direct the County Com-
missioners of Calvert County, Maryland, to issue bonds to the
amount of thirty-five thousand ($35, 000. 00) dollars, for the
purpose of building a public high and elementary school
building at Solomons, and a public elementary school build-
ing at Prince Frederick, and for the building, repairing,
renovating or enlarging elementary school buildings in other
parts of the first, second and third districts of Calvert Coun-
ty, and to authorize the County Commissioners of Calvert
County to levy the necessary amount for the payment thereof,

and to collect a tax upon the assessable property of Calvert
County.

SECTION 1. B e it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Calvert County be and they
are hereby authorized, empowered and directed, for the purpose
hereinafter declared, to borrow money on the faith and credit of
