commission of two per centum on the amount of State and
county taxes collected and paid over by him, and it shall be the
duty of the county commissioners of said county, at their
annual levy of taxes, to levy a sufficient sum to pay the esti-
mated commission of the treasurer and the necessary expenses
of the office as required by this law; provided, that this Act
shall not affect John W. Leitch, the present Treasurer of
Calvert County during his present term of office, who shall
receive four per centum, as heretofore allowed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 45.

AN ACT to add two new sections, to be known as Sections 289A
and 289B, to Offutt's Code of Public Local Laws of Balti-
more County, of the Edition of 1916, title, "Baltimore
County, " sub-title, "Health and Sanitation, " to follow im-
mediately after Section 289 of said Code, as said Section
289 was repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 35 of the Acts
of 1922, authorizing and empowering the County Commis-
sioners of Baltimore County to create an additional loan of
one hundred thousand dollars ($100, 000), to provide funds
to pay the expense of the completion of the sewer system in
the Towson Sewerage Area, and to provide for the extension
of said sewer system and the enlargement of said Towson
Sewerage Area, and to sell certificates of indebtedness as
evidence of said loan, and to provide for the payment of
said certificates, principal and interest by taxation and by
assessments imposed on the properties benefited by said
sewer system.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That two new section?, to be known as Sections 289A and
2S9B, be added to Offutt's Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County, of the Edition of 1916, title "Baltimore
County, " sub-title, "Health and Sanitation, " to follow imme-
diately after Section 289 of said Code, as said Section 289 was
repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 35 of the Acts of 1922,
said new sections to read as follows:
