booths, and ballots which shall contain the words ''For Incor-
poration" on one line and ''Against Incorporation" on another
line, with squares opposite each. Said election shall be con-
ducted as nearly as practicable as an election for county offi-
cers in said county. Said committee shall appoint three judges
and two clerks, or they may themselves serve as judges and
clerks, who shall conduct said election and upon the closing of
said polls shall canvass said vote publicly and publicly an-
nounce the result of said canvass. In the event of a majority of
said voters being for incorporation this charter shall become
immediately operative and thereupon the same committee shall
on the first Monday in the succeeding month after the afore-
said election hold an election for the Mayor and Common Coun-
cil and other elective officers as hereinbefore provided for. The
Mayor and Councilmen elected shall serve until the first Mon-
day in June, 1925, and until their successors shall have quali-
fied, and thereafter their successors shall be elected for the
term of one year.

SEC. 15. For the purpose of election to determine whether
or not the corporate powers hereinbefore mentioned shall be
granted to the citizens of Seat Pleasant, all citizens who shall
have attained the age of twenty-one years, and who shall have
for one year next preceding such election resided within the
corporate limits hereinbefore set forth in Section 2 hereof shall
be qualified to vote, and the committee above named shall have
power to appoint two of its members for the purpose of regis-
tration of said voters and who shall have for this purpose all
the powers of registration officers for any election in Prince
George's County.

CHAPTER 271.

AN ACT to authorize the mayor and common council of the
Town of Riverdale, Prince George's County, Maryland, to
borrow money and to create a sinking fund for the pay-
ment of the same for the purpose of acquiring a build-
ing to house fire equipment and for the use of said mayor
and common council of Riverdale.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary- +
land, That the Mayor and Common Council of Riverdale, Prince
George's County, Maryland, be and it is hereby authorized and
