vember, 1923, under the supposed authority of Section 48 of
Article 48A of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
as shown by the ''Consolidation Agreement" entered into by
and between the said two Corporations, and heretofore filed
with the Insurance Commissioner of Maryland, be and the
same is hereby authorized and approved, with the same effect
as if the said Corporations had been merged or consolidated,
as other insurance companies may be, under the provisions of
Section 48. Article 48A, of the Maryland Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, as enacted by Chapter 492 of the Acts of 1922; and
that the Insurance Commissioner of Maryland be authorized
to approve said consolidation agreement to the end that it be
recorded, and the said two Corporations consolidated, and,
that upon the accomplishment of the said consolidation
that any sum or sums of money, security or securities, and the
accrued income thereon, if any. held by the Treasurer of Mary-
land, in trust, and deposited with the State Treasurer by the
Standard Benefit Society, Incorporated, shall be paid and de-
livered to the said. The Nationel Benefit Life Insurance Com-
pany, successor to the assets and liabilities of the Standard
Benefit Society, Incorporated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1st, 1924.

CHAPTER 269.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, title, "Licenses, " sub-title, "Motor Ve-
hicles, " to be known as Section 141-A and to follow imme-
diately after Section 141 of said Article, directing the Com-
missioner of Motor Vehicles to furnish certain information
to the County Commissioners of the several counties and the
Appeal Tax Court of Baltimore City.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 270.

AN ACT to incorporate the town of Seat Pleasant, Prince
George's County, Maryland, and to provide for the submis-
sion of this question to the qualified voters of said town for
their adoption or rejection.
