amendment or amendments thereto which may hereafter be
made or enacted.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the first day of January, 1925.

CHAPTER 265.
AN ACT to add a new section to the Annotated Code of Mary-
land, Article 43, title "Health, " sub-title "State Registrar
of Vital Statistics, " to follow Section 9, and to be known as
Section 9-A, the same providing that in the case of births
and deaths occurring in Baltimore City the State Registrar
shall not require the return to him of the original certifi-
cates, but only such transcripts, tables, figures and compila-
tions as may seem to him advisable or necessary.

CHAPTER 266.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 20 of
Article 11 of Bagby's Annotated Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, title ''Banks and Trust Companies",
sub-title "Banks", as said Section was amended by the
enactment of Chapter 268 of the Acts of 1920, to provide
for the payment by banks, before starting business, of all
of the capital stock provided for in said section, and, for the
purpose of imposing certain restrictions upon the establish-
ment of branch banks, and to repeal and re-enact with
amendments Section 42 of Article 11 of said Code, title
"Banks and Trust Companies", sub-title "Trust Compa-
nies" as said section was amended by the enactment of
Chapter 268 of the Acts of 1920, for the purpose of allowing
the Capital Stock of Trust Companies to be divided into
shares of the par value of not less than twenty-five ($25. 00)
dollars each, and for the purpose of imposing certain re-
strictions upon the establishment of branch trust companies.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 20 of Article 11 of Bagby's Annotated Code
of the Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Banks and Trust
