against the City of Havre de Grace and the City Attorney of
the City of Havre de Grace is hereby appointed and consti-
tuted the attorney for the Municipal Utility Commission, and
said Municipal Utility Commission may allow him such com-
pensation for his services as its attorney, not exceeding, how-
ever, the sum of $200. 00 per annum, and said City Attorney
shall render such opinions, make such contracts and advise the
said Commission on all matters wherein they require or request
his services, provided that in the event suits are instituted
against said Commission, said City Attorney shall be entitled
to receive, as a representative of said Commission, such sum
or sums for his services in connection with said suits as said
Commission shall deem proper.
402G. Provided, however, that nothing in this Act con-
tained is intended or shall be taken or construed as relieving the
Mayor and City Council of Havre de Grace or the Municipal
Utility Commission from any and all provisions of Chapter
180 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1910,
known as the Public Service Commission Law, or any amend-
ments thereto.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1924.

CHAPTER 179.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and Council of
Snow Hill to acquire by purchase and to operate and main-
tain the existing electric light plant in Snow Hill, and to
issue and sell coupon bonds of said town to the amount of
twenty thousand dollars to provide a fund therefor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and Council of Snow Hill is hereby
authorized and empowered to acquire by purchase and to oper-
ate and maintain the existing electric light plant in Snow Hill
for the lighting of the public buildings and highways of said
town, and to sell light or heat or light and heat for both public
and private buildings and to any and all consumers to the same
extent that a private owner of said plant might so supply the
same.
