Two Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($2, 400) for a new school
for colored children at Robinson;
Two Thousand Dollars ($2, 000) for a new school for colored
children at Cross Roads;
Two Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($2, 200) for a new school
for colored children at Bristol;
Two Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($2, 200) for a new school
for colored children at Freetown;
One Thousand Dollars ($1, 000) for a new school for colored
children at Friendship;
One Thousand Dollars ($1, 000) for a new school for colored
children at Annapolis Neck;
One Thousand Dollars ($1. 000) for additional rooms at Pumph-
rey 's colored school;
Two Thousand Dollars ($2, 000) for a new school at Iglehart.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the said money shall
be used for no other purposes than designated in this Act. And
the said Board is hereby given full and ample power to make
contracts and enforce the execution of the same, to employ ar-
chitects and workmen when necessary, to purchase material?
and generally to do any and all things under sound and custom-
ary business practice, in carrying out the provisions of this Act.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all
of the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 138.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 6-A.
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title
"Licenses, " sub-title "Mode of Issuing—General Provi-
sions, " as said Section 6-A was enacted by Chapter 516 of
the Acts of 1922, providing for the appointment of a Chief
Inspector of State Licenses and three assistant Inspectors
of State Licenses, and providing for their compensation.
