Laws of Maryland, title "Wicomico County, " sub-title "Foxes, "
as said section was amended by Chapter 349 of the Acts of
1908, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments to read as follows:

51. Any person who shall shoot a fox that is being pur-
sued by a dog or dogs in charge of a person or persons hunting
the same for sport in the limits of Wicomico County shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof before a
justice of the peace shall be fined not more than ten dollars
for each fox so killed, and stand committed until the fine and
costs are paid, said fine to be paid over to the Board of Educa-
tion of said county for the use of the public schools of said
county; provided, however, that this section shall not apply
to any landowner shooting a fox upon his own property.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 479.

AN Act authorizing and directing the Comptroller of the State
of Maryland to refund to the owners of hiring cars under
Class F of the Automobile Law propelled by gasoline and
equipped with pneumatic tires the difference between thirty-
two cents per horse power and one dollar and twenty cents
per horsepower paid by them to the Commissioner of Motor
Vehicles for registration cards and tags for the year 1924,
said money to be paid out of the funds received by the Comp-
troller from the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, and re-
quiring the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to furnish the
Comptroller with full information as to the names and
addresses of such owners as are entitled to said refund and
the amount collected from them at one dollar and twenty
cents per horse power, and the amount which should have
been collected at thirty-two cents per horse power.

WHEREAS, Chapter 522 of the Acts of 1922, was enacted for
the purpose of substituting as far as possible a gasoline tax
for the year 1924 for the per horse power registration fee pro-
vided for under the then existing law for all gasoline propelled
motor vehicles equipped with pneumatic tires, except those
motor vehicles which haul freight or passengers over a pre-
scribed route under a franchise granted by the Public Service
