1092 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 419

(Section 6 and the paragraphs thereof of Article 4 being in
the Charter of Baltimore City adopted by the voters of said
city at the election in November, 1918), authorizing the re-
organization of municipal offices, boards and commissions
and for the purpose of co-ordination to organize, reorganize,
consolidate and abolish boards, commissions, departments,
and officials of the City of Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new paragraph is hereby added to Section 6 of
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Bal-
timore, " sub-title "Charter, " to be headed (15B) "Organiza-
tion of Departments, " to follow after the paragraph headed
(15A) "Municipal Ferry" of said Section 6 of Article 4 (Sec-
tion 6 and the paragraphs thereof of Article 4 being in the
Charter of Baltimore City, adopted by the voters of said city
at the election in November, 1918), and to read as follows:

(15B) ORGANIZATION OF DEPARTMENTS.

To provide by ordinance for the reorganization of the sev-
eral municipal offices, boards and commissions, embraced in
Section 31 or in any other section or sections of this Article or
in any ordinance, and in order to co-ordinate the same to
organize, reorganize and abolish any office, board or commis-
sion and/or consolidate the same with any other office, board
or commission and provide for the several duties, powers and
functions thereof and/or the transfer thereof in whole or in
part to or with any other office, board or commission.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing contained
in the foregoing grant of power shall be construed to apply to
the Public Improvement Commission for the City of Balti-
more as established by Ordinance No. 376 of the year 1920,
but said Commission shall continue as provided by said ordi-
nance and subject to its limitations.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be
effective from June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 419.

AN ACT to amend Article 21 of Bagby's Annotated Code of
the Public General Laws of the State of Maryland, by add-
ing to said Article a new section, to be known as Section 99.
