and be informed that Charles Smith late of Saint Pauls Parish in the County
afd Planter the tenth day of November Anno Domini Seventeen hundred &
thirty and for many years next before always hitherto was a Constant inhabitant
resident and Commorant in the Same Parish and County within the Jurisdicion
of this Court and that the afd Charles the SAme tenth day of November
did inter marry and get his Marriage Solemnized with Mary Laskey (which
Said mary the Same tenth day of November in The year afd and for many Years
next before always hitherto was a Constant inhabitant resident and Commorant
at the Same Parish and County within the Jurisdicion afd) in a Neighbouring
Colony to this Province of Maryland to wit in the Province of Pensilvania and
out of this Province of Maryland against the Peace of the Said Lord prop.ry that
now is his good rule & Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly
in that case made and provided  Wherefore the afd attorney prayeth the
Advice of the Court here in the premisses for the Said Lord prop.ry and due process
of Law against the afd Charles in this part to Issue to answer to the Said Lord
prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.a which being read and heard the afd
Charles Smith Saith that he is not Guilty of the matter in the Information
afd in manner and form as in the Said Information is Set forth and of this
he puts himself upon the Country

    And the afd Tench for the Same Lord prop.ry in like manner
Thereupon Command was given to the Sherrif of Kent County that he Immediately
cause to come here twelve &c.a by whom &c.a who neither &c.a to Recognize
&c.a because as well &c.a of which Said precept the Said Sherrif to wit John
Gresham Gentl. now here at this day to wit the Nineteenth day of June
Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred thirty three makes return
that he hath here ready twelve &c.a As by his precept he was Commanded
and now here afterwards to wit the day and Year last mentioned Came
againe the afd Lord prop.ry by his att.ry afd and the afd Charles Smith in his
proper person and the Jurors of that Jury being Impanneled and called
Likewise Came to Wit Philip Davis Vincent Hatchenson James Ringgold
Thomas Smith David Jones Jeremiah Covington Peter Jones Joseph
Nicholson James Ringgold Daniel Bryant Elias Ringgold and Jonas
Ringgold who being duely elected tryd and Sworn to Say the truth in the
premisses upon their Oath do say that the Deft Charles Smith did
inter marry and get his Marriage Solemnized with Mary Laskey in
the Information named in a Neighbouring Colony to this Province of Maryland
to wit at new Castle Town upon the Bay of Dillaware Contrary to the
Act of Assembly And by Philip David there foreman all So Say

    And the Deft afd by Joshua George his att.ry moves in arrest of Judgm.t
of the Verdict of the Jurors afd which are as followeth viz
