County Court of the Same Lord prop.ry of Kent County aforesaid to wit in the Court house in
Chester Town in the County afd the third tuesday in March Anno Domini Seventeen
hundred thirty and two before William Frisby Esq.r and his associates his Said
Lordships Justices of the Same County Court and for the Same Lord proprietarie
doth give the Same Justices here to understand and be informed that at a Court
of the Said Lord proprietarie held for Kent County afd in the Court house in Chester
Town in the Same County the third tuesday in November Anno Domini one
thousand Seven hundred thirty and one before the Same William Frisby and his
associates then Justices of the Said Lord prop.ry of the afd County Court John Rogers
of Shrewsbury parish in the County afd planter then and there being an Inhabitant
and Resident within the parish and County afd within the Jurisdicion of this
Court and a fit man to Execute the office of an overseer of the Common
high Roads from the branch near the late Dwelling house of Lambert
Wilmer deceased to the bridge formerly called Thomas Windalls and from
Wilsons branch halfway to the plantation of William Comegys Jun.r and from
Sasafras upper ferry to Salters branch and to make a bridge over the Same
branch in the County afd, being Lawfully and in due manner according to the
form of the Act of Assembly in Such case made and provided was appointed
by the Said William Frisby and his associates overseer of the Said Roads and
bridge last mentioned in the County and Jurisdicion afd being (as by the Said Record
thereof in the Same County Court there being more folly is manyfest and appeareth)
whereof the afd John Rogers afterward to wit the Said third tuesday in November
in the year last mentioned at the County afd his Lawful Notice and the Same John
Rogers the due Execution of the said office of an overseer of the Roads aforesaid
upon himself then and there did take and the Same office from the Day and
Year last mentioned until the day of the Exhibition of this Information did bear
and Execute to wit at Kent County afd within the Jurisdicion afd and the afd Tench
Francis doth further give the Same Justices here to understand and be informed that
the Roads afd from the first day of December Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred
thirty and one and always afterward untill the day of the Exhibition of this
Information at the County afd within the Jurisdicion afd were and Still are in
great Decay for want of repairing amending clearing and grubing of the Same
Roads So that the liege Subjects of our Sovereign Lord the King that now is
in by and through the the Roads afd with their horses Carts and Carriages
to go return ride and travel cannot as they were went and ought Nevertheless
the afd John Rogers to repair amend clear and grub the Same
Roads hitherto altogether did Neglect and omit to the great annoyance prejudice
and Damage of all the Liege Subjects of our Said Lord the king that now
is in by and through the Same Roads with their horses carts and Carriages
goeing returning passing riding and travelling contrary to the peace of the Said Lord
proprietary that now is his good rule and Government and against the form
