case offending contrary to the peace of the Said Lord prop.ry his good rule and Governm.t
and against the form of the Act of Assembly in that case made and provided
Test John James    On the back of the afd Indictment was endorsed as foll. viz.t
true Bill p Edw.d Worrell Foreman

    And the afd Ann Whitehead in her proper person cometh and Saith that She
cannot gainsay the Indictment afd So as afd against her brought nor can She Say
but that She is guilty of the fornication above mentioned  And thereupon Submits to
the Court  Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at a Court
held for Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third
tuesday in August being the fifteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen
hundred and thirty two  That the afd Elizabeth Whitehead pay the Sum of thirty
Shillings Current money as a fine for Committing the fornication afd in form
afd Confest  And also the Sum of two hundred and thirty one pounds of
Tobacco cost accrueing on the premisses afd &c.a

M.r John Gresham comes into Court and Acknowledges the rec.t of the
fine afd

    Ordered by the Court here that the afd Elizabeth Whitehead gave Security
for the fees afd    Thereupon Cap.t Ebenez Blackston of Said County comes into
Court and Saith that he will pay the fees afd for the afd Eliz.a Whitehead &c.a

    Ordered by the Court here that the afd Elizabeth Whitehead prove the begitter of
her afd Child    Thereupon She being Sworn declares James Thomas Jun.r the
person that begett her with Child and by whom she Commited the fornication
afd

                      Thereupon the Court ordered that M.r Tench Francis Clk of the
Indictments of this Court Exhibit an Indictm.t to the Grand Jury ag.st the afd James Thomas
Jun.r which was done accordingly as p fol 310 you may perceive &c.a

 At last June Court a Certain Rosemond Barnes ordered into
Recognizance in the Sum of five pounds Sterl for appearance
to this Court as an Evid.c against the afd John &c.a
And now here at this Court to wit the third tuesday in August being
the fifteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty two came the
afd John Ro^s^mond Barnes and in her proper person appeared and prayd the afd Recogniz.c
might be disch.d    Ordered by the Court here that the Same Recognizance be disch.d
This Court here discharges the afd Recognizance of the afd Rosemond as afd prayd &c.a
The Court ordered that an Information might be Exhibited against the Same at
next June Court And now the Same is fild for that the afd John Commited
fornication with the afd Rosemond &c.a  The Same Continued untill next
Court being the third tuesday in Nov.r next foll. and that Capias Issue and
She is for the Evid.c &c.a
