Court 1731 the parish afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court in and upon Mary Steward in the peace of God and the Said Lord prop.ry then and there being with force and Arms an assault did make and her the Said Mary then and there did beat wound and Evilly treat So that of her life it was much despaired and other harms to her did to the great damage of the Said Mary and against the peace of the Same Lord prop.ry his good rule and Government Wherefore the afd attorney prayeth the advice of the Court here in the premisses for the Said Lord prop.ry and due process of Law against the afd Justices in this part to Issue to answer to the Said Lord prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.a And the afd James Dill in his proper person comes and Saith that he Cannot gainsay the Information afd So as afd against him brought nor but that he is guilty of the premisses above upon him imposed as by the afd Indictment it is alledged & thereupon Submits to the Court Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at a Court held for Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in November being the Sixteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one That the Same James Dill pay the Sum of fifty pounds of Tobacco to the Lord prop.ry &c.a as a fine for Committing the assault afd And also it is Considered that the Same pay the Sum of two hundred forty three pounds of Tobacco costs and charges accrued on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court Ordered by this Court that Security be gave for the fine and fees afd Thereupon M.r Charles Hynson comes into Court and assumes the fine and fees afd &c.a |
