The President distributed the following messages from the

HOUSE BILL No. 1.

House Bill No. 1, entitled "An Act to add a new section to
Article 33 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
'Elections,' sub-title 'Registration/ the said new section to follow
immediately after Section 29 and to be known as Section 29A of
said Article, changing the dates for the general registration of
voters and the revision of the registry books in Baltimore City, in
the year 1930, and modifying the provisions with respect to the
revision of the registry books for the purpose of making the same
conform to the dates so fixed."

Which was read the first time and referred to Committee on
Elections.

Also—

HOUSE BILL No. 2.

House Bill No. 2, entitled "An Act making an emergency ap-
propriation for the payment of the expenses of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland for the extraordinary session of nineteen hun-
dred and thirty."

Which was read foe first time and referred to Committee on
Finance.

Two-thirds of all the Senators elected voting in the affirmative,
the Rules were suspended by yeas and nays, to allow Committee
on Elections to make report on House Bill No. 1, as follows:
