registry books for the purpose of making the same conform to the
dates so fixed."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 33 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Elections," sub-title "Registration," the said new section to fol-
low immediately after Section 29, to be known as Section 29A of
said Article, and to read as follows:

29A. In lieu of the dates prescribed by Section 29 for the gen-
eral registration of voters, and the revision of the registry books
for the City of Baltimore, for the year 1930, the Boards of
Registry in said City shall be in session for the general registra-
tion of voters in said year, on Tuesday, September 16th, Wed-
nesday, September 17th, Thursday, October 9th and Thursday,
October 16th, and shall meet again for revision only on Friday,
October 17th, 1930. All sessions of the Boards of Registry for
the registration of voters and for the revision of the registry books
shall be held between the hours of 2 P. M. and 10 P. M. (Eastern
Standard Time). No new names shall be entered upon the regis-
try books on the day fixed for revision.

On each of the days of registration, before separating, the mem-
bers of the said Boards of Registry, representing each of the two
political parties shall make out and deliver to two of their number
of opposite politics, a list of the names and registered addresses of
all those who are on the registry books as qualified voters, who are
suspected of not being qualified to vote, which said list shall be
prepared in the manner prescribed by Section 24 of this Article.
The said two officers of registration, to whom such list has been
delivered, shall sign a notice and aeliver the same in person, to the
address, as given in the registry books, of each person who is upon
the suspected list, requiring such person to appear before the
Board of Registry on Friday, October 17th, 1930, and show cause,
if any, why his or her name should not be removed from the
registry books. All such notices shall give the time of the session
of the Board of Registry on October 17th, and shall be delivered
at the addresses shown upon the registry books not later than noon
on October 17th, 1930. The mailing of the notice as provided by
Section 24 of this Article shall not be required in the revision of
the registry books in Baltimore City, for the year 1930; and all
suspected list cannot be found at the place designated upon the
registry books, the notice may be left there, if such place can be
