Having purchased the EXCLUSIVe RIGHT to sell

FAIRBANK'S PATENT

SCALES

In the SOUTHERN STATES, are prepared to execute orders for any de-
scription or size, from the Apothecary's Scale, registering 1 dwt., to the
Weighlock or Canal Scale, of 500 tons capacity.

The universal accuracy of these Scales has led to their adoption by the General Govern-
ment as the STANDARD. In a recent suit before the Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore City,
the learned Judge declared in open court, That Fairbanks Scales being the standard, their accu-
racy being determined beyond all question, that all legal issues must be decided in their favor.
