exceeding in total at any time ten percent, of the assessed valua-
tion of all property within said Section 5, and for these pur-
poses said section 5 shall be and is hereby constituted a cor-
poration, and the said Citizens' Committee of said Section 5
are empowered to act for said corporation without in any way
being held individually or personally liable in connection there-
with.
SECTION 8. And be it further enacted, That the Treasurer
of said Citizens' Committee of said Section 5 of the said Village
of Chevy Chase shall deposit all funds coming into his hands,
as such in accordance with the requirements of law for the
deposit of County funds by the County Treasurer, or in such
other bank as may be approved by the Citizens' Committee of
said Section 5; provided that the Treasurer of said Citizens'
Committee shall not dispose of any of the funds coming into his
hands as such Treasurer except upon cheek duly signed by
him as such Treasurer and countersigned by the Chairman, or
some member of the said Committee acting as Chairan pro tem.
in his absence; such acting Chairman shall be duly authorized
to act by resolution of said Committee, which must first be
placed upon the minutes of the Committee to be provided there-
for.
SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That Chapter 189 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1918, creating
said Section 5 of Chevy Chase, Maryland, a special taxing area,
be and the same is hereby repealed.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 291
of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Harford County," sub-title "Havre de Grace,"
as said Article was codified by Chapter 680 of the Acts
of 1916, providing for party designation on the ballots
for municipal elections.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 291 of Article 13 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County," sub-title
"Havre de Grace," as said Article was codified by Chapter
