struct, reconstruct, change, alter, commence or abandon any
thing, matter or practice in, about, or relating to any mine
or mining operation, such operator or other person may have
three months time after this act becomes effective for com-
pliance therewith; and if after diligent effort such time prove
insufficient, then such operator or other person may, upon
proper showing of diligence and inability to comply, be granted
by the Bureau a farther extension of time for such compli-
ance, not exceeding six months additional time.

SEC. 176. If any section, sub-section, sentence, clause, or
phrase of this act is for any reason held to be unconstitutional,
such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining por-
tions of this act, it being the intention of the General Assembly
to pass this act, and each section, sub-section, sentence and
phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more
other sections, sub-sections, sentences or phrases be declared
unconstitutional.

SEC. 2. And be U enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from and after the first day of October, 1922.

CHAPTER 308.

AN ACT to revive the charter of The Tove-Libauer Furniture
Company, and to enable it to continue business as a corpora-
tion under the laws of this State, upon payment of all taxes,
penalties and fees that are or may be due and in arrears to
the State of Maryland.

WHEREAS, The Tove-Libauer Furniture Company, a corpo-
ration organized and doing business under the laws of the State
of Maryland, inadvertently neglected to file its report to the
State Tax Commission in the year 1917, and within the time
required by Section 154 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, and the State Tax Com-
mission has undertaken to impose certain penalties upon said
corporation on account of such failure, and the Governor has
issued a proclamation bearing date March 17th, 1921, declar-
ing or purporting to declare the charter of said company for-
feited.
