previous or subsequent appropriation a State road through
a portion of the town of Greensboro, Caroline County, Mary-
land, and to further define its powers in reference to such
building, construction and maintenance through the said
town of Greensboro, and to repeal all Acts or parts of Acts
inconsistent herewith.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission of Maryland be, and
the same is hereby authorized and empowered to build, con-
struct and maintain with any previous or subsequent appro-
priation a State road on Railroad Avenue in the town of
Greensboro, Caroline County, Maryland, from the point where
the said Railroad Avenue enters the corporate limits of said
town leading from the Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washing-
ton Railroad crossing and extending from that point to a junc-
ture with the present State road at Railroad Avenue and Main
Street in the said town, and that it shall have the same rights
and powers in reference to the acquisition of land and material,
and in reference to the construction and maintenance of said
State road, as its general rights and powers under the law in
reference to the construction and maintenance of other State
highways and the acquisition of land and material therefor.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with the provisions hereof are hereby re-
pealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 233.

AN ACT to incorporate the Imperial Life Insurance Company

of Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That William T. Watson, B. Franklin Rife and William
A. Turner, and the subscribers to the stock of the corporation
hereby created, and their successors and assigns, be and they
are hereby created a body corporate by the name of the Im-
perial Life Insurance Company of Baltimore, and by that name
shall have perpetual succession, and shall have such powers
