SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 122A, 122B, 122C, 122D, 122E, 122F,
122G, 122H of Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (title Howard County, sub-title Schools), of the Acts
of Assembly of 1920, Chapter 129, be and the same are hereby
repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.

CHAPTER 189.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Charles County to issue bonds for the purpose of refunding
the bonded indebtedness of said county authorized by Chap-
ter 44 of the Acts of 1902, and to levy and collect the neces-
sary costs for the payment of said bonds and interest there-
on and to repeal Chapter 599 of the Acts of 1920 authoriz-
ing the issue of certain bonds by Charles County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,, That the County Commissioners of Charles County be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to issue serial
coupon bonds in sums of one thousand ($1, 000) dollars each,
to be signed by the President of the Board of County Commis-
sioners and countersigned by the clerk of said board, not to
exceed in the aggregate seventeen thousand ($17, 000) dollars,
and to bear interest at a rate not to exceed five per cent. (5%)
per annum, payable semi-annually on the first day of January
and July in each and every year; said bonds shall be exempt
from. State, county and municipal taxation, and the coupons
of said bonds shall, as they become due and payable, be receiv-
able by the Treasurer of Charles County in the payment of
county taxes. The said bonds shall be sold by the County Com-
missioners after due advertisement to the highest bidder or
bidders, but said Commissioners shall have the right to reject
any or all bids.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said bonds shall
be dated July 1, 1922, and shall be numbered from one to sev-
enteen, and so issued that number one shall mature and become
payable July 1, 1927, number two July 1, 1928, and so on in
