SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 563 of the Acts of 1916, authorizing the
State Librarian to sell or otherwise dispose of certain books
and documents now in the said Library, be and the same is
hereby repealed, and re-enacted with amendments; and that
said Act as amended be incorporated in Article 55 of the An-
notated Code of Maryland, entitled "Librarian-State, " to be
known as Section 12A, and to follow immediately after Section
12 of said Article, and to read as follows:
SEC. 12A. The Librarian, with the approval of the Library
Committee of the Maryland State Library, shall have the
power and authority to sell from time to time such books, in-
cluding the Maryland Reports and Codes, maps and periodi-
cals, in the State Library, as they consider prudent and de-
sirable to sell, and the proceeds of such sales, after deducting
the expenses incident thereto, to be paid over to the Treasurer
of the State within thirty days after the receipt thereof; pro-
vided no book, map or periodical shall be so sold if its sale
would break a set.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June first, nineteen hundred and twenty-two.

CHAPTER 183.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Frederick County",
sub-title "Thurmont", said new section to be known as
Section 736-A and to follow immediately after Section 736
of said Article, as codified by Chapter 86 of the Acts of
1918, giving women equal rights with men to vote in town
elections.

11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Frederick County", sub-title "Thurmont", said new section
to be known as Section 736-A and to follow immediately after
Section 736 of said Article, as codified by Chapter 86 of the
Acts of 1918, and to read as follows:
