CHAPTER 150.

AN ACT, to authorize The County Commissioners for Dor-
chester County, to borrow on notes, the sum of forty-eight
thousand dollars, to pay the amount owed to The County
Board of Education.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That The County Commissioners for Dorchester County,
is hereby authorized and empowered to borrow on note or notes,
in addition to any and all amounts now authorized by law, the
sum of forty-eight thousand dollars, which said sum shall be
used to pay The County Board of Education for Dorchester
County, the sum of forty-eight thousand dollars, now due it, or
so much thereof, as may be necessary on past levies, and shall
be used for no other purposes.

SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, That said note or
notes, authorized by Section 1, of this Act, shall be paid out
of the money arising from the sale of bonds from the two hun-
dred thousand dollar bond issue, authorized by The General
Assembly of Maryland, at its nineteen hundred twenty-two
session, to pay the floating indebtedness of Dorchester County,
and said notes when paid, shall be cancelled and all authority
to borrow or issue notes under this Act, shall immediately
cease.

SECTION 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health or safety, and passed
upon a yea and nay vote, supported by a three-fifths of all of
the members elected to each of the two Houses of The General
Assembly.

SECTION 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
