CHAPTER 133.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Talbot County to provide funds for the purchase, care
and maintenance of a Court Library and Library facilities
for the Circuit Court for Talbot County, and conferring
authority for the expenditure and disbursement of said
funds.

WHEREAS adequate provision has not heretofore been made
for the necessary Library and Library facilities for use of
the Circuit Court for Talbot County, its judges, officers and
members of the Bar; and

WHEREAS the interests of the people require that both Court
and counsel shall have ready access to a Library affording
reference to such volumes of legal decisions, authorities, treat-
ises, digests and other books and literature as are necessary or
appropriate in the exposition of the Law and the administra-
tion of justice; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Talbot County, be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to levy, appropriate
and pay over in and for the year nineteen hundred and twenty-
two, to the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Talbot County, the
sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00) to be called and known
as the Court Library Fund, and to be expended and dis-
bursed as hereinafter provided.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Talbot County
are hereby authorized and directed to levy, appropriate and
pay over, in and for the year nineteen hundred and twenty-
three and annually thereafter, to the said Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Talbot County, for said Court Library Fund, such
sum of money, in and for each respective year, which, if added
to the unexpended balance, if any, of said Court Library Fund
in the hands of said Clerk at the end of the immediately pre-
ceding calendar year will equal or amount to the sum of five
hundred dollars ($500. 00), to be expended and disbursed as
hereinafter provided.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the said Court Library Fund to be levied, ap-
