The Sixth Ward of the City of Cumberland shall be divided
into four precincts, as follows:

Ward No. 6, Precinct No. 1—Comprising all that part of
Ward No. 6 which is bounded on the North by the center line
of the Williams Road -and the same extended to the Potomac
River, on the East by the City Limits, on the South by the
center line of the Oldtown Road and the same extended to the
Potomac River, and on the West by the Potomac River.

Ward No. 6, Precinct No. 2—Comprising all that part of
Ward No. 6 which is bounded on the North by the center line
of the Oldtown Road and the same extended to the Potomac
River, on the East by the City Limits, on the South by the cen-
ter line of Third Street and the same extended Westerly to
the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, and on the West by the Balti-
more & Ohio Railroad.

Ward No. 6, Precinct No. 3—Comprising all that part of
Ward No. 6 which is bounded on the North by the center line
of Third Street and the same extended Westerly to the Balti-
more & Ohio Railroad, on the East by the City Limits, and
on the South and West by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad.

Ward No. 6, Precinct No. 4—Comprising all that part of
Ward No. 6 which is bounded on the North by the Baltimore
& Ohio Railroad, on the East by the City Limits, and on the
South and West by the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal.

And elections shall hereafter be conducted in said precincts
as they now or may hereafter be conducted under the Laws of
the State of Maryland pertaining to the City of Cumberland
or as shall be provided by ordinances duly passed by the
Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, and the Mayor and
City Council of Cumberland is hereby authorized, directed

and empowered to make provision by ordinance duly passed
for additional precincts from time to time whenever in their
judgment or discretion it shall be deemed expedient so to do
for the convenience of the voters, and for such purpose the
said Mayor and City Council may from time to time change
the boundary lines of any precinct in the erection of any new
precinct or precincts, but the boundary lines of no ward shall
be changed without the passage of an Act giving such authority
by the General Assembly of Maryland, and whenever the City
Limits shall be extended the portion taken in shall be deemed
to become and is a part of the ward and precinct to which it
was contiguous before said City Limits were extended.
