1580 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.
WHEREAS, the Migratory Game Laws of the United States do
not permit the shooting of wild ducks after February first each
year; therefore
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Congress of the United States be and it is hereby respect-
fully requested to amend the Migratory Game Laws of the
United States, to permit the shooting of wild ducks within the
State of Maryland until March first each year; and
Be it further resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be
forwarded by the Secretary of the Maryland State Senate to
to the President of the United States. Senate, the Speaker of
the House of Representatives, and to each of the Represen-
tatives from Maryland in both Houses of Congress.

NO. 6.
That a grateful State and a grateful people join with the
Bench and Bar of Maryland in paying tribute and respect
to the Honorable John J. Diobler for his services to his
City and State, do express our appreciation of the dedica-
tion which he has made of his life and talents to the cause
of justice in our State, and do assure him that in the
opinion of the General Assembly of his State, that the
standards of citizenship, the respect for law, and the
ideals of his fellowmen are higher and better because of
his life and labors.
WHEREAS, the Honorable John J. Dobler, member of the
Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, will reach the age of seventy
during the present year while his term of office does not ex-
pire until 1924; and
WHEREAS, Judge Dobler has declined the unanimous request
of the Bar Association Committee to permit a petition to be
made to the General Assembly to prolong his eligibility beyond
the prescribed age for retirement;, and
WHEREAS, Judge Dobler was nominated by the minority
rty of this State and has served for 28 years during a period
marked by frequent bitter political struggles and extreme
partisan strife but it is the verdict of the people of Maryland
