or vessel at the time of said violation, shall be forfeited, but
shall be released upon the payment of fine.
Section 79. It shall be unlawful for any person,
firm or corporation having a fixed place of business,
buying oysters and employing labor to prepare them for mar-
ket to engage in the business of buying, selling, market-
ing, packing or canning oysters without first tacking out a
license to engage in such business by application to the clerk
of the Circuit Court of the county in which the place of busi-
ness of such applicant may be situated, or to the clerk of the
Court of Common Pleas, if the place of business of such appli-
cant shall be in Baltimore City; and such applicant, at the
time such license is issued to him by the said clerk shall pay
to said clerk the sum of twenty-five dollars for such license,
and said license shall have effect from the first day of Septem-
ber, in the vear in which it mav have been obtained, to the
twenty-fifth day of April, inclusive, next succeeding; and all
said moneys received for said license shall be paid over and
accounted for by the several clerks of courts to the Comp-
troller of the State, to be placed to the credit of the Conserva-
tion fund, as provided by Section 31 of this Article. Where
any such person, firm or corporation operates more than one
house for the buying, selling, marketing, packing or canning
of oysters, a separate license shall be obtained for each house
in which oysters are shucked or otherwise prepared for market.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed. In case
any section or provision of this Act shall be held unconstitu-
tional or inavlid, the same shall not be held to affect any other
section or provision of this Act.

CHAPTER 520.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery County to appoint a coroner for
the said county for the term of four (4) years, and to pre-
scribe the powers and duties of said coroner, and to regulate
and prescribe the fees for the services of said coroner.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery County
mav on the first Tuesday in July in the vear nineteen hun-
dred and twenty-two (1922) appoint some suitable person as
