SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts of
Acts, laws or parts of laws, general or ]ocal, inconsistent with
this Act be and they are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.

CHAPTER 502.

AN ACT to add a new and additional section to Article 15 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Kent County," sub-
title "Galena," to follow Section 131A and to be designated
as Section 131B, said new section providing for the levying
and collection of taxes in the town of Galena, Kent County,
Maryland

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new and additional section be and the same is
hereby added to Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Kent County," sub-title "Galena," the
said new and additional section to follow Section 131A and to
be designated Section 131B.

131B. The Clerk of the County Commissioners of Kent
County is authorized and required under the penalty of one
hundred dollars ($100), to be recovered on presentment or
indictment in the Circuit Court for Kent County, to make
out an assessment of all the real and personal property within
the limits of the said town of Galena (bank stocks, bonds,
notes, and other evidences of debt excepted), and the names of
the persons assessed therewith, and to furnish the same to the
Commissioners of said town, between the 10th day of July

and the 10th day of August in each year, and the said Com-
missioners may levy on the property so assessed such sum of
money as they may deem necessary, not exceeding fifty cents
on the hundred dollars in any one year, and may appoint and
qualify a person to collect the same, and may pay to the person
so appointed a sum not exceeding fifty dollars ($50) as com-
pensation for services thus to be performed.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first day of June, 1922.
