CHAPTER 468.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Calvert
County to levy such sum or sums of money as may be
necessary to pay all outstanding bills or obligations for
work done on the public roads of said County and for which
no provision for payment has been made.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Calvert County be and
they are hereby authorized to levy such sum or sums of money as
may be necessary to pay all outstanding bills or obligations
for work done on the public roads in said County, and for which
no provision for payment has been made and for which there
are no available funds for paying the same, provided such work
has been authorized by the Road Commissioners or Commissioner
of said County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.

Approved April 13th, 1922.

CHAPTER 469.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Mayor and Council of
Sykesville, Carroll County, Maryland, subject to referen-
dum, to construct and operate water supply and sewer-
systems; for the right to purchase property; and to
the issuing of bonds for the purpose of such construc-
tion and the levy of taxes and assessments for the pay-
ment of said bonds, and charges and rates for the
operation, maintenance, regulation and control of said
authorize a contract with the Board of Managers of the
spring-field State Hospital for a water connection and
age systems for the town of Sykesville; to provide for
the purchase of water.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and Council of Sykesville be, and they
are hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to design
and construct water supply and sewerage systems for the
town of Sykesville, including wells, intakes, purification
works, reservoirs, pumping stations, elevated tanks, distribu-
