C H A P. CIV.
An ACT to vest the funds heretofore belonging to the redor, go-
vernor, trustees and visitors, of King William school, in the
city of Annapolis, in the visitors and governors of Saint-John's
college.

WHEREAS the rector, governor, trustees and visitors, of King William school, under an
act of assembly for that purpose, did agree with the visitors and governors of Saint-John's
college, to convey and transfer to them the whole funds of said school upon the said college being
finished, and upon certain terms which have been complied with; therefore,

II. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That all the funds of every nature and
kind whatsoever, be they real, personal or mixed, heretofore belonging to the rector, governor,
trustees and visitors, of King William school, in the city of Annapolis, be and the same is
hereby vested in, and transferred to, the visitors and governor of Saint-John's college, and their
successors, for ever hereafter, to be by them held in trust to and for the benefit of said college,
agreeably to the terms and conditions prescribed by an act of assembly passed at November sessi-
on, in the year seventeen hundred and eighty-five, entitled, An act for consolidating the funds
belonging to King William school, in the city of Annapolis, with the funds of Saint-John's
college.

An ACT to continue the ad: of assembly therein mentioned.
BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That an act, entitled, An act for amend-
ing and reducing into system the laws and regulations concerning last wills and testaments,
the duties of executors, administrators and guardians, and the rights of orphans and other repre-
sentatives of deceased persons, be and the same is hereby continued to the thirtieth day of Octo-
ber next, and until the end of the next session of assembly thereafter,

An ACT for the payment of the journal of accounts.
WHEREAS it appears by the journal of accounts of this session, that there is now due from
this state the sum of twenty-seven thousand and eighty-nine dollars and ninety-seven and
one half cents ;

II. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the treasurer of the western
shore shall and he is hereby authorised aitd required to pay the several persons, their executors,
administrators, assigns or orders, or to such of them as shall offer to receive the same, the seve-
ral Sums of money allowed to them respectively, as they appear to be settled and ascertained by
the said journal of accounts, out of any money now in the treasury, or which shall come into the
treasury, subject to the appropriation of the general assembly.

An ACT for the benefit of Sarah Russell Contee, Anne Lee, Elea-
nor Benson and Margaret Clarke,

WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly, by the petition of Sarah Russell Con-
tee, Anne Lee, Eleanor Benson and Margaret Clarke, sisters, and heirs at law of Russell
Lee, late of Charles county, deceased, that a certain Ninian Beale, on or about the year one
thousand six hundred and ninety-two, took up a part or parcel of land lying and being in Prince-
George's county, called Beale's Reserve, containing four hundred acres, from whom it has been
transmitted by regular conveyances to Richard Lee, formerly of Charles county, deceased, the
grand-father of the aforesaid-Russell Lee, who died in or about the year one thousand seven hun-
dred and ninety-three, intestate, and without issue, leaving the aforesaid Sarah Russell Contee,
Anne Lee, Eleanor Benson and Margaret Clarke, his heirs at law: And whereas it appears to
this general assembly, by the rent books of the lord proprietary, that the quit rents and aliena-
tion, fines were regularly paid on the said land by the several holders thereof to the year one
thousand seven hundred ami seventy-five, and since that period that the taxes and assessment on
said land have been paid this state by the aforesaid Richard Lee, and his heirs; And whereas it
is further represented, that it does not appear by the records of the land-office, that any patent
