CHAP. XII.

A Supplement to an act, entitled, An act to appoint commissioners
to sell and dispose of certain lands belonging to Stepney parish,
in Somerset county, and to apply the money arising from the
sales thereof

Passed 31st of
Dec. 1801.

WHEREAS by the act to which this is a supplement it is enacted, that any five or more of
the commissioners therein named shall have full and ample powers to carry the said act in-
to effect: And whereas the said commissioners proceeded to sell the said lots, and since the sale
thereof two of the said commissioners are deceased, and one of them removed, by which circum-
stances the said commissioners are prevented from carrying the said act fully into execution ; there-
fore,

Preamble.

II. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That John Nicholson and John Dashiell,
of Jesse, be and they are hereby appointed commissioners, in addition to the commissioners now
living, named in the original act to which this is a supplement, and that the said commissioners,
or any three or more of them, shall have full power and authority to carry the said act into exe-
cution according to the true intent and meaning thereof, any thing in the said original act to the
contrary notwithstanding.

CHAP. XIII.

An ACT to repeal the fourth section of an act, entitled, An act for
the advancement of justice, passed at October session, seventeen
hundred and sixty-three.

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the fourth section of the act of as-
sembly, entitled, An act for the advancement of justice, passed at October session, seven-
teen hundred and sixty-three, be and the same is hereby repealed.

CHAP. XIV.

Sesion repeal-
ed.

An ACT further extending the time for making returns of certain
certificates and plots.

WHEREAS it appears that several certificates and plots have not been returned to the land-
office of the western shore within the time limitted by an act passed at November session,
seventeen hundred and ninety-four, entitled, An act further extending the time for making returns
of certain certificates and plots, and it is right and reasonable further to extend the said time ;
therefore,

Dec. 1801.

Preamble.

II. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That all certificates and plots, made
agreeably to, and in virtue of, an act, entitled, An act ascertaining the mode of getting titles to
the purchasers of certain confiscated property, which shall or may be returned to the register of
the land-office for the western shore on or before the first day of August next, shall be received
by the register of the land-office, and be of the same validity as if they had been returned agree-
ably to the time mentioned in the first above recited act

CHAP. XV.

Certificates
&c, to be re-
ceived, &c.

An ACT to alter the times of the session of Baltimore county
court, of the court of oyer and terminer and gaol delivery for
Baltimore county, and of the court of appeals.

Dec. 1801.

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That all such parts of an act of assembly,
entitled, An act for the better administration of justice in the several counties, passed at
November session, seventeen hundred and ninety-six, as relate to the sitting of Baltimore county
court, shall be and they are hereby repealed, and that Baltimore county court shall be held on the
first Monday in the month of February, the first Monday in the month of June, and the third
Monday in the month of November next, and the said court shall for ever thereafter be held on
the first Monday in the month of February, the first Monday in the month of June, and the third
Monday in the month of November, in each and every year.
