83 (42) Know all Men by these p.rsents that I S.r Humphrey Jerius of y.e City of Dublin in Kn.t hath made ordained & appointed and by these p.rsents make Constitute & appoint M.r Richard Lamb of y.e fores.d City Merchant to be my True & Lawfull attorny giveing & grantting to my s.d Attorny full power Authority For me & in my name to aske Demande or receive all Debts of what Kind so ever that is Due to me from any Person or Persons in Maryland and to use all Lawfull meanes for y.e obtaining thereof by [illegible] Arrest Distress Atteachment or otherwaise howsoever in all or any Courtt or Courts and before all or any Loris Judges or Justices whatsoever And upon Receipt or Recovery thereof or any Partt thereof to give Acquit or any other sufficient Discharge or for y.e same & to [illegible] & agree if his s.d Attorney thinks Conveniant And for y.e better affectting y.e p.rmises to putt and Depute one or more Attorny or Attornys under him And Cause to be [illegible] all other & Further act & acts thing & things whatsoever which on and about y.e p.rmises shall be Requisite and necessary in as Full & Ample manner in every [illegible] I the s.d S.r Humprey Jerius Kn.t Could personally Doe all w.ch I Doe hereby & will allow & Conforme for good [illegible] for value For ever in Wittnes whereoff [illegible] unto putt my hand & seale y.e 9.th Day of October 1685
