Kent fs Jn.o Laycock of Kent County planter stands attached to Answer John Hurt and Richard Mason Adm.rs of all and singuler of the goods and Chattels debts wrights Credits of W.m Hodges late of Kent County decead of a plea of Trespasse upon the Case And whereupon the sd John Hurt and Richard Mason by Griffith Jones their Atto.ry complaineth that whereas the said John Laycock the 23.th day of March Anno Dom 1695 in the sd County within the Jurisdicon of this Court stood justly indebted unto the sd Hodges for seaventy & Five gallons of Cyder at 6.d p Gallon and 41.s for the caske the whole being Two poundes One and six pence as by his Acc.o here in Court produced may more att large appeare in consideracon therof the sd John Laycock upon him selfe assumed and to the sd Hodges faithfully promised that he the sd Laycock the sd sume of Two pds One shilling & six pence sterl money unto the sd Hodges would well and truely pay when therunto required Yett Neverthelesse the sd Laycock the sd sume of 2.ll 1.s 6.d to the sd Hodges in his life time did not pay nor to the sd John Hurt or Richard in their capacity he hath not paid alltho therunto required but the same to pay he hath wholly refused and denied to the damage of the sd John and Richard Four pds sterl money of England and therupon they bring this suit and they bring here into Court their Letters of Adm.rn Jn.o Doe pled Jones p Quor Ri Roe |
