537 (273) And the aforesaid James Pooley and Mary his Wife by Griffith Jones their Attorny Honor and defend the force and injury &c.a for plea saith that they are in no wise guilty as Thomas Ringgold by Charles his Attorny hath declared and as for the appurtenances of 300.ll of Land they held in common and undivided and of this they put them= selves upon the Country Jones p defendt the Plt likewise Baste which Country are as Followeth
All which as above being duely swore to the Issue Joyned Betweene the said Plt and Defend.t and hearing the Evidence and pleading On both sides the Court gives them their Charge who withdraw somtime to Consider upon the premises And then returne] and being called by their respective Names as above & the plt and defend.t being Likewise called they deliver in this following verdict Wee of the Jury are Agreed and find for the plt Thomas Ringgold and soe wee say all George Vincent fforeman Therfore it is considered by this Court that Thomas Ringgold doe recover from the defendants James Pooley & Mary his Wife the sume of tenn thousand poundes of Tobacco and cost of suit Simon Wilmer Clk |
