423 (211) Jan.ry y.e 24.th 93/4 being the day appointed according to a former order of y.e Justices of this County for the Electing & Chusing of Vestriemen for S.t Petters parrish on which day att a meetting of y.e most principall Free holders & Justices as aforesaid att y.e house of M.r Thomas Joces at y.e Towne of New Yarmouth doth by a Free Election Elect 6 Vestriemen
Att the Town of New Yarmouth March the 15.th An.o 1693/4 M.r John Copedge so understanding of y.e distemper now one the which god in his time [illegible] and concidering the instability of y.e inhabitants being not capable to be called from their habitations have thought fitt to meett this Day to Concider of our Court now drawing near and Expected the under shff over butt nott comeing cannot be informed how it is now with the Inhabitants w.ch you only by information hear that the distemper is settl amogst you and therefore have thought fitt to acq.t you y.t god willing you intend to adjourne the next Court to some further time & Request you to give notice by y.e under shff or otherwayes as you shall see fitt to all persons on y.e Island haveing business hear with Court y.t they may not give themselves y.r truble of coming over at that time & when tis adjourned yu shall be Informed of y.e day Adjournd to bring w.t others only Respec?? to yu wishing yu & all others of yo.r nieghbors heads wee Remaine so yo.r very Loveing Friends Hans Hanson The under sheft now being Come Dan.ll Norris who gives an accompt of y.e affaires Elias King on y.e Island doe still thinke fitt Edw Sweatnam to adjourne |
