being called to y.e bar submits to y.e Courts mercy

This Indenture made this twenty fifth day of December
Annoq Dom 1690 on & betweene Michaell Miller of the
County of Kent in y.e Province of Mary Land of y.e one
part & Joseph Cox of y.e same County of y.e other part
Wittnesseth that y.e s.d Joseph Cox doth binde himselfe
to serve y.e s.d Michaell Miller or his assignes from the
day of y.e date hereof for y.e full terme & time of one
year to be compleatly Ended & finished in all such services
& imployment as he y.e s.d Michaell Miller or his assigns
shall imploy him dureing y.e s.d terme for & in consideration
of y.e premises the s.d Michaell or his assignes doth
oblige himselfe to pay unto y.e s.d Joseph Cox at y.e end
of y.e affores.d termes y.e sum of twelve hundred pounds
of ^good^ tobacco and also to finde y.e s.d Joseph Cox sufficient due
washing & Lodging dureing y.e s.d terme In performance
whereof wee hereunto subscribe our names & fix our seals
