VOTES AND PROCEEDINGS, NOVEMBER SESSION, 1808. 99

Mr. Baer, from the committee of claims, delivers to the speaker the journal of accounts; which Was read
assented to, and sent to the senate by the clerk.

Mr. Baer also delivers a bill, entitled, An act for the payment of the journal of accounts; which was read
the first and second time by especial order, passed, and sent to the senate by the clerk.

The engrossed bills from No. 117 to No. 119, inclusive, were read, assented to, and sent to the senate by
the clerk.
The following resolution was read the first and second time, assented Co, and sent to the senate by the clerk.

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore pay to Messrs. Duvall and Clements, ninety dollar and
nineteen cents, the amount of their account for stationary furnished the senate.

The clerk of the senate delivers the resolution relative to the purchase of the Landholder's Assistant and
Land-Office Guide, the resolution relative to the erection of a manufactory of arms, the resolution relative to
printing and forwarding to each member an act of this session, the resolutions in favour of William S. Green
and James Harwood, and the resolution relative to the investments, severally endorsed, " assented to. " Also
the bill to alter the times of the meetings of the court of appeals, and for other purposes, with the following
message:

By the SENATE, December 25, 1808.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates

WE adhere to our amendments to the bill, entitled, An act to alter the times of the meeting of the court of
appeals, and for other purposes.

By order, T. ROGERS, clk.

Which was read.
Also the engrossed bills from No. 113 to 115, inclusive, endorsed, " read and assented to. "

The message proposing to close the session, was read the second time, agreed to, and sent to the senate by
the clerk.

The clerk of the senate delivers the bill for the payment of the journal of accounts, endorsed, " will pass. ''
Ordered to be engrossed. Also the journal of accounts, endorsed, " read and assented to. " Also the resolu-
tion in favour of Duvall and Clements, endorsed, " assented to. " And the engrossed bills from No. 117 to 119,
inclusive, endorsed, " read and assented to. "

The engrossed bill No. 121, was read and assented to, and sent to the senate by the clerk.

The clerk of the senate delivers the engrossed bill No. 121, endorsed, "read and assented to. "

Mr. Partridge and Mr. Williams, from the senate, inform the speaker that the governor is attending in the
senate to sign and seal the engrossed bills, and request the attendance of this house for that purpose.

The speaker, left the chair, and, attended by the members of this house, went to the senate, and there pre-
sented the following engrossed bills to the governor, who signed the same, and affixed the great seal thereto, in
the presence of both houses.

No. 1 An act to settle and ascertain the salary of the members of the council for the ensuing year.

No 2. An act to make public a road in Prince-George's county.

No. S. An act for the relief of John Garner, of Charles county.

No. 4. An act to incorporate the trustees of the male free-school of Baltimore.

No. 5. An act for the relief of Benjamin Buckler, of Saint-Mary's county.

No. 6. A Supplement to the act, entitled, An act to extend further the powers of the levy court of Allegany county relative
to roads in said county, and for other purposes.

No. 7. An act for the relief of James Mulvany, of Washington county.

No. 8 An act authorising Nathaniel Rochester, late sheriff and collector of Washington county, to complete his collection.

No. 9. An act for the relief of Mary Connerly, of Anne-Arundel county.

No. 10. Au act authorising the appointment of commissioners to review the public road leading through the lands of Elizabeth
Charlton and Mary Sim, in Frederick county.

No. 11. An act authorising Thomas J. Pattison, late sheriff and collector of Dorchester county, to complete his collection.

No. 12 A Further supplement to the act, entitled, An act relating to the public roads in the several counties therein mentioned.

No. 13. An act annulling the marriage therein mentioned, being supplementary to an act, entitled, An act for the relief of
Mary Gwinn, of Frederick county.

No. 14. An act for the relief of petit jurors of Baltimore county court.

No. 15. An act authorising George Robertson and Dorothy Robertson to convey certain lands therein mentioned.

No. 16. An act to open a road in Frederick county.

No. 17. An act to confirm a sale of land made by the executors of Henry Willis to Joseph Haines.

No. 18. An act authorising repairs to the old or the erection of a new gaol in Frederick-town, in Frederick county.

No. 19. A Further supplement to the act, entitled, An act for regulating the mode of staying executions, and repealing the
acts of assembly therein mentioned, and for other purposes.

No. 20. A Supplement to the ad, entitled, An act to lay out and open a road to and from the mill of Joshua Howard, on
Sam's creek, in Frederick county.

No. 21. An act for the relief of Harriet G. Wynkoop.

No. 22. An act to enlarge the powers of the trustees of the poor of Montgomery county.

No. 23. An act for the support of Esther Jarman, of Worcester county.

No. 24. An act authorising Solomon Scott, late sheriff of Queen-Anne's county, to complete his collection.
