Day of said Month Anno Dom 1726 Came again the afd Lord prop.ry by Tench
Francis his Clk of Indictments and the said John Jones and Thomas Jones nor
either of them appearing thereupon the afd proceedings were Continued untill
the third Tuesday of August then next following                            also

    Att which said August Court Came again the afd Lord prop.ry by Tench
Francis his Clk of Indictments and the said Cause being Continued untill the
third Tuesday of Augs.t following at which said Court the said Thomas
Jones being brought to the Barr appears there^up^on the said Tench Francis desires
the Court to proceed to Judgm.t on the verdict afd against the said Thomas
Jones Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Courthouse
in the Town of Chester in said County this Sixteenth Day of August
Anno Dom Seventeen hundred and twenty six that the said Thomas Jones
stand one in the pillory one whole hour and afterwards he receive at the publick
whipping post twenty nine Lashes well laid on his bare back till the
blood appears as a punishment for his afd Crime of felloniously stealing
a hogg according to the force form and Effect of the verdict afd also it is
Considered that the said Thomas Jones pay the sum of Eleven hundred Sixty
Nine & A half                                     pounds of Tobacco Costs accruing on
the premisses afd to the Officers of this Court

    Ordered by the Court here at this Day to wit the Day and Year last
Mentioned that the Sherrf of Kent County take the afd Thomas Jones into
his Custody and Execute the punishment in the Judgment of Specefyed
and afterward to bring him into Court again of which precept the said
Sherf to wit John Gresham now high Sherrf of Kent County makes return
on the Day and Year last said that he hath Executed the said Judgment
And also hath here the said Thomas Jones before the Court

    John Walls and John Mecay both of Kent County planters Comes into
Court in their proper persons and assumes to pay the four fold amounting
to ten Shillings Current Money of Maryland and the Costs in the Judgm.t
afd Specefyed and thereupon the said Thomas Jones is therefrom discharged

    Att which Said ^third Teusday of^ August foll ^being y.e 16.th day of s.d Month Anno Dom 1726^ came again The afd Lord prop.ry by Tench
ffrancis his Clk of the Indictments And the Said John Jones Still made default
and thereupon the Same was furth.r Continued so far as relates to the Same John
untill the third tuesday of November then next following
