CHAP. 318.

stock companies, which have been or may hereafter be in-
corporated to make roads and canals, and to vote therein

Majority cast the
status vote

according to the interests of the State, in all the proceed-
ings of said company or companies; and a majority of the
persons so appointed, who shall be present at any and
every meeting, shall cast the vote of the State in all ques-
tions in such meetings.

Compensation.
|
Sec. 2. And, be it enacted, That the compensation to be
allowed to persons appointed as aforesaid, shall be the
same as is allowed to members of the General Assembly,
including itinerant charges, during the time necessarily

occupied in the discharge of their duties.
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all and every part of
any act or acts inconsistent with this, be and the same are
hereby repealed.
