CHAP. 125.

cart, wagon, wain, sleigh, sled or other carriage of plea-
sure or burthen, from-passing through said gate, until they

have respectively paid the same; that is to say the follow-
ing sums of money, and so in proportion for any greater
or lesser number of sheep, hogs or cattle, viz: for every
score of sheep eight cents; for every score of hogs, eight
cents, for every score of cattle sixteen cents; for every horse,
and his rider or led horse, four cents; for every chair or
chaise, with one horse and two wheels, eight cents; for
every chariot, coach, stage, wagon, phceton or chase, with
two horses and four wheels, sixteen cents; for either of the
carriages last mentioned, with four horses, twenty-four
cents, for every other carriage of pleasure, under whatso-
ever name it may be known, the like sums according to the
number of wheels and horses drawing the same; for every
cart or wagon, whose wheels do not exceed the breadth of
four inches, eight cents for each horse, drawing the same;
for every cart or wagon, whose wheels shall exceed in
breadth, four inches, and not exceeding seven inches, four
cents; tor every horse drawing the same; for every cart or
wagon, the breadth of whose wheels shall be more than
seven inches, and not more than ten inches, or being of
the breadth of seven inches, shall roll more than ten inches,
three cents for every horse drawing the same; for every cart
or wagon, the breadth of whose wheels shall be more than
ten inches, and not exceeding twelve inches, or being ten
inches, shall roll more than fifteen inches, two cents for
every horse drawing the same; for every cart or wagon, the
breadth of whose wheels shall be more than twelve inches,
one and a half cents for every horse drawing the same.

Authority to de-
mand of Washing-

ton county Bank

Sec. 14. And be it enacted. That whenever the books
shall be opened by the Commissioners of said road, lead-
ing from Hagerstown to Williamsport, the Commissioners
shall have full power to call on the President and Directors
of the Washington county Bank, to comply with the eigh-
teenth section of an act, entitled, An act to establish a
Bank, and incorporate a company under the name of the
