                     August Court                   1761                      98
And Cypher as far as the Rule of Division Inclusive and at the Expiration of his Servitude Give him a Broad Ax Adz and Pin
Mall and a New Suit of Cloaths of Kersey over and Above his Common Wearing Cloaths and do not Likewise find and Provide for his
Said Apprentice Meat drink Washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and Wear during the term
afd. &c

Natl. Thrift Lycence    Nathaniel Thrift of Somerset County Inholder Came here into Court in his Proper Person and Prays that
to keep tavern    he may be Permitted to keep an Ordinary or house of Entertainment in the County afd. at his Own house for the
use and Conveniency of Travellers and Strangers as to them Respectively Shall Seem meet which is by the Court here unto
him Granted he Giveing Security as the Law directs to keep Good Rules and Orders in his Ordinary or house of Entertainment
as afd.    Whereupon the Said Nathaniel Thrift together with Samuel Callaway and Elgat Bird of Somerset County his Securitys
all Present herein Court in their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Right Honrble the
Lord Propry of the Province of Maryland in thirty Pounds Curt Money of Maryland of their bodies Goods or Chattles Lands and
Tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied if it happen that
the Said Natl. Thrift do not keep Good Rules and orders and do Suffer Idle Loose and disorderly Persons to tipple Game and
Commit disorders or Other Irregularities in his Ordinary or house of Entertainment Contrary to the true Intent and Meaning
of the Act of Assembly in Such Case Provided &c.

Mary Stevens    Mary Stevens of Somerset County Inholder Came here into Court in her Proper Person and Prays that he may be
Lycence to    Permitted to keep an Ordinary or house of Entertainment in the County afd. at her Own house for the use and

Securitys all Present herein Court in their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Right
Honrble the Lord Propry of the Province of Maryland in thirty Pounds Curt Money of Maryland of their bodies Goods
or Chattles Lands and Tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of his Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and

keep Tavern    of travellers and Strangers as to them Respectively Shall Seem meet which is by the Court here unto him Granted
he Giveing Security as the Law directs to keep Good Rules and Orders in his Ordinary or house of Entertainment as afd.
   Whereupon the Said John Done together with William Hayward and William Allen of Somerset County Gent his Securitys
all Present herein Court in their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Right Honrble the
Lord Propry of the Province of Maryland in thirty Pounds Curt Money of Maryland of their bodies Goods or Chattles Lands
and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of his Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and Levied if it
happen that the Said John Done do not keep Good Rules and Orders and do Suffer Idle Loose and disorderly persons to tipple

Robert Hopkins    Robert Hopkins of Somerset County Inholder Came here into Court in his Proper Person and Prays
Lycence to keep    that he may be Permitted to keep an Ordinary or house of Entertainment in the County afd. at Princes
tavern    Ann Town for the use and Conveniency of travellers and Strangers as to them Respectively Shall Seem
Meet which is by the Court here unto him Granted he Giveing Security as the Law directs to keep Good Rules and Orders
in his Ordinary or house of Entertainment as afd.    Whereupon the Said Robert Hopkins together with George Baly &
Benja. Warrington of Somerset County Planters his Securitys all Present herein Court in their Proper Persons
Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Propry of the Province of Maryland
in thirty Pounds Curt Money of Maryland of their bodies Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally
