August Court 1761 97 Said Apprentice the trade of a Cordwainer and to Read Well in the Bible and for his Said Apprentice meat drink Washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and wear during the term afd. Whereupon the Said John Phebus is Ordered to Give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd. thereupon the Said John Phebus together with Sanuel Phebus and Wm. Dorman of Somerset County his Securitys all present here in Court in their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the afd. Nathan Bludworth in thirty Pounds Curt. Money of Maryland on their bodies Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the Said Nathan Bludworth his heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said John Phebus do not during the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the trade of a Cordwainer and to Read well in the Bible and for Such an Apprentice to have and Wear during the term afd. &c
and faithfully he Shall Serve his Secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly Every where willingly he Shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull Apprentice he Shall demean himself towards his Said Master and all his during the term afd. In Consideration of which Service the Said William Bounds present here in Court in his Proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in manner and form following that is to Say that he the Said William Bound Shall and will during the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the trade of a house Carpinter and to Read Well in the testament and Likewise find and Provide for his Said Apprentice Meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and Wear during the term afd. Whereupon the Said William Bounds is ordered by the Court here to Give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd. Thereupon the Said Wm. Bounds together with Joseph Husk and John Dorman of Somerset County his Securitys all Present here in Court in their Proper Person Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the afd. Robert Tompson in the Sum of thirty Pounds Curt. Money of Maryland on their Bodies Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the Said Robert Tompson his heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said William Bounds do not during the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the trade of a house Carpinter and to Read Well in the testament and do not Likewise find and Provide for his Said Apprentice Meat Drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and Wear during the term afd.
Whereupon the Said William Roberson is Ordered by the Court here to take into his Care and possession the afd. Joseph Dashiell and all his Estate Reall and Personall and further it is Ordered that a Certain John Cox and Isabell his Wife deliver up unto the afd. Wm. Roberson Guardian afd. all the Estate of the afd. Orphan of What sort soever that they have in their hands and Possession And further it is Ordered that he Give Good Sery to Comply with the Law in Relation to Such Guardianship as afd. and to deliver up unto the afd. Orphan his heirs Exrs. or Admrs. all his Estate Reall and Personall that he Shall take into his hands and Possession Peaceably and Quietly when Ever the Same Should be Legally Required &c Whereupon the Said William Roberson together with Wm. Bounds and Jacob Messex of Somerset County his Securitys all present herein Court in their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the Said Joseph Dashiell in four hundred Pounds Curt Money of Maryland of their bodies Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the Said Joseph Dashiell |
