             August Court              1761                   97
term afd.    In Consideration of which Service the Said Robert Hopkins present here in Court in his proper person
Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in Manner and form following that is to
to Say that he the Said Robert Hopkins Shall and will during the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice to Read well
the trade of a Cordwainer and to Read Well in the Bible and at the Expiration of his Servitude Give him a New
Suit of Cloaths of Kersey or Narrow Broad Cloath Over and Above his Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise
find and Provide for his Said Apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice
to have and Wear during the term afd.
           Whereupon the Said Robert Hopkins is Ordered to Give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd.
thereupon the Said Robert Hopkins together with Benjamin Mitchell and Charles Nichols of Somerset County
his Securitys all Present here in Court in their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the afd. Rizden
Bludworth in thirty Pounds Curt. Money of Maryland on their Bodies Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly &
Severally to the use of the Said Rizden Bludworth his heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that
the Said Robert Hopkins do not dureing the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the trade of a Cordwainer and to Read
                                                                                                               of Kersey or Narrow Broad Cloath
well in the Bible and at the Expiration of his Servitude do not Give him a New Suit of Cloaths ^ over and Above his

Molatto Nicey    Nicey a Molatto an Orphan of her Own free Consent is bound out by the Court here an Apprentice
Bound to    According to Act of Assembly in Such Case Provided unto Daniel Wails or Somerset County untill
Daniel Wails                          Molatto Nicey

   she the Said ^ Daniel Wails ^ Should Arrive at the Age of Sixteen One Years the Said Molatto Nicey
to Serve her Said Master the full term afd. during which term the Said Apprentice his Said Master Well and faithfully
he Shall Serve his Secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly Every where willingly She Shall doe and in
all things as a good and faithfull Apprentice she Shall demean herself towards her Said master and all his during
the term afd.    In Consideration of Which Service the Said Daniel Wails present here in Court in his proper
Person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in Manner and form following
that is to Say that he the Said Daniel Wails Shall and Will during the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice
the trade to Knit Sew and Spin and to Read Well in the Testament and Likewise find and Provide for his Said
Apprentice Meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and wear during the
term afd.       Whereupon the Said Daniel Wails is Ordered to Give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd.
Thereupon the Said Daniel Wails together with George Scott and Thomas Moor of Somerset County his Securitys
all Present here in Court in their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the afd. Molatto Nicey
in thirty Pounds Curt. Money of Maryland on their bodies Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally
to the use of the Said Molatto Nicey his heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said Daniel

Nathan Bludworth    Nathan Bludworth an Orphan of his Own free Consent is bound out by the Court here an
   Bound to    Apprentice According to Act of Assembly in Such Case Provided unto John Phebus of Somerset County
John Phebus    untill he the Said Nathan Bludworth Should Arrive at the Age of Twenty One Years the Said Nathan
Bludworth to Serve his Said Master the full term afd. during which term the Said Apprentice his Said Master well and
faithfully he Shall Serve his Secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully and honestly Everywhere willingly he Shall
doe and in all things as a good and faithfull Apprentice he Shall demean himself towards his Said Master and
all his during the term afd.       In Consideration of Which Service the Said Nathan Bludworth present here in
Court in his Proper Person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in Manner
And form following that is to Say that he the Said John Phebus Shall and Will during the term afd. Learn his
