Wm. Duett    To the Worshipfull Justices of Somerset County in Court now Sitting the Humble Petition of William Juet Sheweth
   Petn    that your Petitioner hath a Negro Wench Named Pegg who with Sundry Infirmities and Especially the Loss of her
Eye Sight hath Rendred her almost past Any Servicable Labour Incapable for which your petitioner humbly prayeth that your
Worships would be pleased to Consider the Premisses and Set her tax free for the future and Your Petitioner as in duty praid
Bound Shall Every pray &c.                                                                                                      Wm. Juett
                     Whereupon Came here into Court the afd. Petitioner in his Proper person and thereupon the Petition afd.
being Read and heard and fully understood it is Considered by the Court here that the afd. Negro Pegg after this Year be
for the future tax free &c

Molatto Levin
Bound to    Molatto Levin of his Own free Consent is bound out by the Court here an Apprentice According to Act
Mats Hobbs    of Assembly in Such Case Provided unto Mathias Hobbs of Somerset County Cordwainer untill he the
Said Molatto Levin Should Arrive at the Age of Twenty One Years the Said Levin to Serve his Said Master the full term
afd. during which term the Said Apprentice his said Master well and faithfully he Shall Serve his Secrets keep his
Commandments Lawfully and honestly everywhere Willingly he Shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull
Apprentice he Shall demean himself towards his Said Master and all his during the term afd. In Consideration of
which Service the Said Mathias Hobbs present here in Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the
Same Court in Court Judicially Sitting in Manner and form following that is to Say that he the Said Mathias Hobbs
Shall and Will during the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the trade of a Cordwainer and to Read Well in the testament
and at the Expiration of his Servitude Give him a New S:t of Cloaths of Narrow Broad Cloath Over and Above his Common
wearing Cloaths and as Many Tools as will be Sufficient to make a good Shoe and Likewise find and Provide for his Said
Apprentice Meat drink Washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an Apprentice to have and wear during the
term afd.       Whereupon the Said Mathias Hobbs is Ordered to give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd.
   Thereupon the Said Mathias Hobbs together with Benjamin Cottman and Wm. Stuart of Somerset County planters
his Securitys all Present here in Court in their Proper persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the afd. Molatto
Levin thirty Pounds Curt Money of Maryland on their bodies Goods Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the
use of the Said Levin his heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the Said Mathias Hobbs do not during
the term afd. Learn his Said Apprentice the trade of a Cordwainer and to Read Well in the testament and at the Expiration
                                                                  and as Many Cordwainers tools as will be Sufficient to Make a Good Shoe
                                                                       of Narrow Broad Cloth
of his Servitude do not Give him a New Suit of Cloaths ^ Over and Above his Common Wearing Cloaths ^ and do not
Likewise find and Provide for his Said Apprentice Meat drink Washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an
Apprentice to have and Wear during the term afd. &c

Molatto Leah    Molatto Leah of her Own free COnsent is bound out by the Court here an Apprentice According to Act
Bound to    of Assembly in Such Case Provided unto Mary Hobbs of Somerset County untill She the Said Leah
Mary Hobbs    Should Arrive at the Age of Sixteen Years the Said Leah to Serve her Said Mistres the full term afd.
during which term the Said Apprentice her Said Mistres well and faithfully She Shall Serve her Secrets keep her Commandments
Lawfully and honestly Every where willingly she Shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull Apprentice she Shall
demean herself towards her Said Mistres and all hers during the term afd.    In Consideration of Which Service
the Said Mary Hobbs present here in Court in her proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in Court
                                                                                                     the
Judicially Sitting in Manner and form following that is to Say that he she ^ Said Mary Hobbs Shall and Will during the
term afd. Learn her Said Apprentice the trade of a Weaver and to knit Sew and Spin and to Read Well in the testament and
Likewise find and Provide for her Said Apprentice Meat drink Washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an
Apprentice to have and Wear during the term afd.
           Whereupon the Said Mary Hobbs is Ordered to give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd. Thereupon
the Said Mary Hobbs with Robert Hopkins and Charles Leatherbury her Securitys all Present here in Court in their
Proper persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the afd. Leah in thirty Pounds Curt Money of Maryland on their
bodies Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the Said Leah her heirs and Assigns to
be made and Levied if it happen that the Said Mary Hobbs do not during the term afd. Learn her Said Apprentice
